Snow Days

DGS follows the the district policy on snow days. We do not make an independent decision.
If the superintendent calls for school, we will be in session!
If there is a call for a late start, we will follow the late start...If there is a call for a snow day, DGS will have a snow day.

For information on the superintendent's decision, check out the DPS website at www.dpsk12.org or check out local news stations on the TV and radio on the morning of the day in question. The superintendent makes the decision at 5:30 a.m.

How to Dress for Snowy Days:
Be sure to send your students in the appropriate layers for a Colorado day.
If it's above 20 degrees and there is no ice on the playground, we will be outside for recess.

Pick up stations for inside days are:
~K and 1st grade will be dismissed from their classrooms at their exterior doors (parents can come inside your classroom if need be).
~2nd, 3rd, 4th grade will be dismissed from gym (doors facing South by the shed).
~5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade will be dismissed as usual from their classrooms or cottage.
